Mammootty's historical magnum opus 'Pazhassi Raja' has finalized its release dates for the next January.

The movie which is in the production stages for the last couple of years has the best names in the industry like scriptwriter M T Vasudevan Nair and Director Hariharan in its crew.

Produced by Gokulam Gopalan in the banner of Gokulam films, the movie's final schedule is on at Thiruppathi. The movie still needs another two weeks of shoot before calling the final pack up.

Sharathkumar, Kanika, Jagathy and Suman are the other important characters of this film. 'Pazhassi Raja' is expected to make a wide release on the 26th of January, 2009 as a Republic day release.
